The course aims to understand of the concepts of nutraceuticals and functional food and their applications in managing diverse ranges of diseases. The course helps students to understand the significance of balanced foods & absorption and their physiological roles in maintaining the health of animals. It also helps to understand the nutrient-gene interaction and genome-food interface & mechanisms. Moreover, the course aims to understand the role of food and food components on expression of genes and gene products in animal systems.
